The school organisation will vary from year to year according to the number of pupils and the distribution with the age bands.

In the current academic year the classes are organised as follows:

 

Early Years Foundation Stage:

Squirrels                         Reception                           Blue Area

 

Key Stage One:

Rabbits Year 1 Green Area

Foxes Year 2 Green Area

 

Key Stage Two:

Lions Year 3 Red Area

Tigers Year 4 Red Area

Panthers Year 5 Purple Area

Leopards Year 6 Purple Area

 

Each area of the school is served by class teachers, with classroom support from teaching assistants. A number of volunteer helpers also make valuable contributions in the classrooms. Shared activity areas help to ensure that contact and continuity within each part of an educational key stage is maintained.

 

Every child at our school is placed in one of four house  groups with house captains.  Families will be placed in the same house group.  The house system will promote good citizenship skills with children benefiting from working in vertical groups on certain occasions such as sports events, art and music.   House names:  Pankhurst, Nightingale, Churchill and Mandela.
