Welcome to St Botolph's CEVCP School

Together we are strong and powerful learners

“Now the body is not made up of one part but of many.”  1 Corinthians 12:14

At St Botolph’s we believe that everyone has the ability to achieve their potential – intellectually, socially, spiritually, creatively and physically.

Within our Christian framework, we support all children to be confident and enthusiastic learners, equipped to build a successful future and to make a positive contribution to the local and wider community in which they live.

At St Botolph’s Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School, we believe it is important to develop core values by which to live and which help to develop a moral and spiritual awareness. We seek to explore the meanings of these core values and their significance through weekly acts of worship delivered by the Rector, with support from the local non-conformist church and the local Open the Book team.

Our core Christian values are:

Friendship, Courage, Respect, Forgiveness, Truthfulness and Thankfulness

St Botolph's is committed to the safeguarding of all children.  If you have any concerns about the well-being or safety of a child please speak with one of the school safeguarding leads (DSL).

Emergency School Closure

At times a school is closed due to external events.  The most common include severe weather, heating failure or flooding.   This section provides parents with information regarding the status of the school during term time only.  Parents are advised to check this information in the event of substantial snow fall or other regional weather warnings/conditions.  Parents can also listen to local radio and check their mobile for text message information regarding the schools in term status.

Message from the Headteacher

I regard it as a huge privilege to be the Head at St Bots.  Our school has a strong sense of community and a desire to provide the best for the children.  There is a genuine desire to work hard and improve where the focus is on the child.  I believe in traditional values and seeing children as individuals who are all different and have their own specific needs.  To this end we strive to work hard together so that the children are well prepared for high school, not just with regard to English and Maths but in their growth and development as resilient and well rounded people.  This is why we are committed to providing the children with meaningful and rewarding experiences in Art, Music and Sport.  St Bots supports and challenges in equal measure and welcomes all.  It is a warm and caring school that regards children as children and aims to enrich and protect their childhood.
